Rockstar Games announced on November 6, 2025 that Grand Theft Auto VI will release on November 19, 2026, moving from its previous date of May 26, 2026. The studio said the extra months are needed to finish the game to the level of polish players expect.

Back to Vice City

GTA VI is set in the state of Leonida, Rockstar's take on Florida, with Vice City at its heart. It follows two protagonists, Lucia and Jason, a criminal duo whose story was introduced in the game's first two trailers.

Consoles first

The game is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has not announced a PC version; the studio's previous games reached PC after their console launch.

It is the second delay for the game, which was first planned for autumn 2025.
