Hollow Knight: Silksong is out now on every major platform
Team Cherry's sequel launched on September 4, 2025 on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch, and on Game Pass from day one.

After years of waiting, Hollow Knight: Silksong is available to play. Team Cherry released the sequel on September 4, 2025 across PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, and it joined Xbox Game Pass on launch day.
Hornet takes the lead
Silksong stars Hornet, the needle-wielding princess from the first game, who is captured and carried to Pharloom, a new kingdom ruled by silk and song. Where the Knight was silent and slow, Hornet is fast and acrobatic, and the combat leans into that with quick dashes, aerial strikes and tools crafted on the move.
Small studio, huge audience
Team Cherry is a team of only a handful of developers in Adelaide, Australia, and Silksong was first revealed in 2019 as a planned expansion that grew into a full sequel. The long wait turned the game into one of the most anticipated releases of its generation, and its launch drew enough players at once to strain several digital storefronts.
The game launched at a price of $19.99, the same as its predecessor.
